Concrete Grinding Ltd’s narrow aisle floor grinding solution helped to improve their client’s man riser narrow aisle truck efficiency at a facility in Denham, Uxbridge, UK.
Bosch UK head office at Denham, had a challenge with their trucks which were swaying from side to side in aisles due to uneven floor surface. Subsequently, the Linde trucks could not run at optimum speed which slowed down productivity. Bosch UK is part of the Bosch Group, a leading global supplier of technology and services. Its operations are divided into four business sectors: Automotive Technology, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology.
CG was approached by the client and was commissioned to provide the Gold Service – a superflat floor grinding solution using the Laser Grinder® technology. Amongst its many innovative features, this laser guided technology, available only by Concrete Grinding Ltd, constantly checks and maintains the correct path during the grinding process – accurate to within fractions of a millimetre. CG proceeded to grind 5 aisles totalling 180 metres, whole aisle width (the entire width of a narrow aisle), to DM2 floor flatness specification. Using CG’s unique Laser Grinder® system also meant that the warehouse could remain operational whilst grinding work took place.
The project completed successfully with an assured feedback from the client. “The truck drivers are satisfied with the new surface and the trucks are operating to maximum efficiency.
