You might have seen the advert from online electronics company AO.com recently, where a new member of staff is being shown around their huge distribution centre.
The centre has high racking units and very narrow aisles in abundance, and productivity is so good they grab TVs, fridges, cookers and more off the shelves for same-day delivery.
This is aided by a floor, ground to TR34 Defined Movement (DM2) specifications by Concrete Grinding Ltd.
“It’s really good to see a company doing so well and hitting such quick delivery times” said Paul Altham, Technical Services Manager for Concrete Grinding. “We recognised the distribution centre when we saw the advert, and it’s great to know that we’ve played a little part in their success by giving them the floor they need to get their goods out of the door.”
Concrete Grinding ground 965 meters of two track, very narrow aisle grinding using their own patented Laser Grinder; improving the flatness of the floor which ensures trucks don’t go off balance when picking goods off the racking at such a great height.
